| I have been using the Smart Media Card's for two years and only once have I received this message. I suspect it was due to using a card reader to delete the contents of the card after copying the pictures to the desktop. I suspect the camera eventually had problems reading the card. |

| I suggest formatting the card in the camera prior to using it each and every time so as to avoid this problem underwater where you would have to sacrifice your already taken photos in order to "format" the card to continue taking photos or cease taking any more photos in order to save those already on the card. The latter choice would likely require you to purchase the "Photo Rescue" software. |
