| This simple device comes
in handy for poking into the sand as a handle to hold onto in current,
helping with buoyancy when taking a photo and anything
else you can adapt it to. It is a lot safer than using your knife as
well as cost effective if you lose it. This is a plastic tent peg that can be purchased from Sports Authority or a local camping supply store. Modify the store bought peg as shown in the photo above as follows: 1. Enlarge the factory drilled hole so as to be able to force the clip cord knot into it. 2. Drill a hole in the top of the peg down to the factory installed hole. 3. Cut off the hook part that the tent line connects to (a Dremel tool works well). 4. Attach a lanyard. I leave mine on my left wrist while diving. |
